WWE Superstars and Divas join the NOH8 Campaign: photos
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan is one of many WWE Superstars and Divas showing support for the NOH8 Campaign.
"Our mission at WWE is to put smiles on people's faces and we do that, in part, by participating in initiatives that help fight bullying of all kinds," said Stephanie McMahon, Chief Brand Officer, WWE.
"We are proud to support the LBGT community by taking part in the WWE NOH8 campaign," McMahon said.
The NOH8 Campaign is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy, social media and visual protest.
The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8.
"I am so honored to be a part of the WWE NOH8 campaign," said Fred Rosser aka WWE Superstar Darren Young. "The most important thing is to be able to live your life the way you want to, truthfully. NOH8 makes that possible."
Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths and "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world.
Five years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to nearly 33,000 faces and continues to grow.
The cast of E!'s "Total Divas" shows their support for NOH8.
The NOH8 Campaign has received overwhelming support from around the world and has appeared in various local and national news programs and publications.
