WWE and Girl Up announced the official launch of Sports for a Purpose, an initiative that will help young leaders tackle gender inequalities in sports, teach girls about the benefits of participating in team sports, and expose the gender barriers girls face in sports around the world.
The program launched at Girl Up’s annual Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., where Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon and Charlotte Flair participated in a panel discussion on gender equality issues in sports. Sonya Deville joined a workshop with Girl Up Leaders to discuss changing the culture of women in sports.
Sports for a Purpose will include a resource page of content featuring WWE Superstars and Leadership Panels with Girl Leaders around the world. Learn more at girlup.org.
