Israel, a 12-year-old from Hartford, Conn., was a special guest on WWE's The Bump on Feb. 19. The Make-A-Wish Connecticut honoree was surprised by WWE Superstar Sheamus live, in-studio; Roman Reigns, live via satellite; and John Cena, via a pre-recorded message, to learn his wish to go to WrestleMania 36 in Tampa Bay, Fla., is being granted. After Israel's special appearance on The Bump, Israel and his family were greeted by WWE Advanced Media Group and Community Relations staff at WWE AMG's Stamford, Conn., headquarters, to congratulate him and welcome them to the WWE family.
This year marks Make-A-Wish's 40th anniversary celebration. WWE has granted more than 6,000 wishes over the course of its more than 30-year partnership with Make-A-Wish, and granted more than 80 life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in 2019 alone. John Cena is the leading Wish granter of all-time with more than 600. Learn more about Make-A-Wish at wish.org.
