Make-A-Wish Connecticut honored WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon with their first Wish Spirit Award, which recognizes a local leader’s philanthropy and community support, at their annual Wish Night in Greenwich. McMahon celebrated with other WWE executives, including WWE Co-President and Make-A-Wish Connecticut Board of Directors member Michelle Wilson, as well as ESPN journalist Hannah Storm.
The Wish Spirit Award is given to an individual or organization who embodies the true spirit of Make-A-Wish Connecticut by inspiring hope, strength and joy within their community, exhibits exceptional dedication to the Make-A-Wish mission, embodies a spirit of kindness and commitment through philanthropic work and transforms the lives of the children and families served, along with many others in the community.
Make-A-Wish Connecticut's Annual Wish Night also celebrated Lynn's wish to go to Hawaii. Each year, more than 100 wish families choose travel wishes, which often cost in excess of $15,000 per wish.
The Wish It Forward Travel Fund gives donors the opportunity to enable kids to see the world as a place of endless potential. Each year at Wish Night, Make-A-Wish Connecticut invites 10 wish kids to share their wish journeys. Make-A-Wish Connecticut's goal is to help these kids Wish It Forward to the next 10 kids by funding 10 travel wishes in their honor at the event.
