WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon joined WWE Global Ambassador, 2020 Warrior Award Recipient & Founder of The Bullard Family Foundation Titus O’Neil along with Raw Correspondent Sarah Schreiber at WWE’s Sustainable Garden Initiative event at Tampa’s Sligh Middle Magnet School during WrestleMania Week.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, people experiencing food and nutrition insecurity has increased significantly in Tampa Bay, the home of WrestleMania 37. To raise awareness for the issue and support efforts to close the meal gap, WWE is contributing $25,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay FRESHforce initiative. FRESHforce provides workforce development and on-the-job training to individuals with barriers to employment. WWE Partner Nestle Pure Life, WWE GSP is matching WWE’s contribution for a total donation to Feeding Tampa Bay in the amount of $50,000.
Additionally, WWE is partnering with The Bullard Family Foundation, Hillsborough County Public Schools University of Florida IFAS Extension Service to develop and execute a Sustainable Community Garden Initiative to educate communities about the importance of nutritious food as well as provide access to nutritious food for families and children in local areas identified as areas with low food access.
