Naomi was honored at the Boys & Girls Clubs Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Houston, making her the first female WWE Superstar to earn the prestigious honor. In addition to Naomi, 2019 inductees included: United States Army Colonel John S. Chu; Tom Ehlmann, President and General Manager of NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 in Dallas/Fort Worth; Denise White, CEO and Founder of the EAG Sports Management; LaDainian Tomlinson, NFL Hall of Famer and NFL Network Analyst; Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans Quarterback; and Joel Wernick, President/CEO Phoebe Putney Health Systems.
After a luncheon with her fellow honored inductees, Naomi walked the event's Blue Carpet and was awarded a Boys & Girls Clubs of America Gold Card at the Gold Card Reception. More than 2,500 attendees joined the reception, which took place at the Marriott Marquis in Houston. Guests included Jim Clark, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America; Myron Gray, Chairman of the Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of America; and Frank Sanchez, National Vice President, Sports, Entertainment & Alumni Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Naomi has been a longtime supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and was a proud member in Orlando, Fla. Boys & Girls Clubs of America enables young people most in need to achieve great futures as productive, caring, responsible citizens. In 2016, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and WWE announced a multi-year, national partnership to support bullying prevention efforts and help create a safe environment for today’s youth.
