Brooklyn Navy Yard Boys & Girls Club in Brooklyn, N.Y., played host a special WrestleMania Be a STAR rally and Common Ground exercise the day after more than 82,000 members of the WWE Universe were wowed by WrestleMania at MetLife Stadium.
"This is Us" actress Chrissy Metz joined Women's WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal Match winner Carmella and 20 fifth through eighth-graders from the Boys & Girls Club for the Common Ground exercise, which was developed by the Yale Center of Emotional Intelligence as an activity to showcase that students have more things in common with each other that they may not have known, with the goal of fostering friendship and understanding.
Then, Carmella joined WWE Ambassador Dana Warrior, WWE Superstars Shelton Benjamin and Ali, and WWE backstage interviewer and announcer Sarah Schreiber for a Be a STAR rally with 200 Boys & Girls Clubs members from ages 6 to 13 in attendance.
